Isn’t it ironic that a former Ohio Democratic legislator was sentenced to a 3-year prison sentence for accepting bribes to introduce legislation, while accepting incentives from the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) to introduce their legislation is standard operating procedure for Republican legislators?
Isn’t it ironic that Ohio has $247 million in its rainy day fund, yet local governments and public schools are still trying to work around massive budget cuts from the state?
Isn’t it ironic that Ohio’s Department of Natural Resources, once known for protecting our trees and forests, is reviewing state-owned land to see if any can be leased for fracking?
Isn’t it ironic that the governor commended legislators for their bipartisanship, even though Democrats simply voted for Republican-created bills for the good of their districts?
Isn’t it ironic that Republicans talk about less government intrusion while introducing intrusive legislation?
Our state being run by John Kasich is ironic… don’t you think?
