Being on the governor's public relations team has to be one of the hardest jobs ever. This week his PR team promoted a story to The Columbus Dispatch entitled “Kasich Battles Hunger,” because he signed an order to provide more money to feed poor Ohio children during their summer break. The newspaper reported that "Feeding Ohio's hungry has become a priority for Gov. John Kasich."
This "heartwarming story" came at the same time as Kasich's publicized support of drug testing for welfare recipients, a move that would consequently take food off the tables of many poor Ohio children.
The hunger games have begun.
