Does it surprise anyone that there are times when MSNBC News sounds a lot like Fox News, but there are never times that Fox News sounds like MSNBC?
It shouldn’t because progressives think differently.
Defeating, attacking, and embarrassing our opponents is not our highest priority, public service is!! And when we are in the minority, we remember our role. We serve as the “Loyal Opposition.” Remember after a bitter impeachment and an even more bitter 2000 Election in which George W. Bush lost the popular vote and was appointed President by the Supreme Court, Democrats in Congress supported him in twp wars and in five debt ceiling limit votes and Bushes Wall Street Bailout.
This is the approach to Government by journalists, public servants, and political supporters who share a progressive vision. Of course, there are exceptions to every rule and there are individuals on both sides determined to prove it.
But recently, New Jersey governor, Chris Christie said “that even those I disagree with most in my party, any Republican, would make a better President than any Democrat.” That would mean that Christie believes if Senator Hillary Clinton were running against Governor Sarah Palin the country would be better off with the latter.
For the people at Fox News, and apparently some at MSNBC, if Senator Feinstein and the President disagree about the role of Congress and the White House, it is accepted as proof positive that the President is wrong. However, to reach this conclusion they have to ignore an undeniable fact. We are Democrats—we often disagree with each other—too often sometimes. We don’t walk in lock step. We don’t know how.
Given the temporary alliance between MSNBC and Fox News a review of some basic facts are in order.
AND THAT … IS TRULY WONDERFUL!
